The style I’m going for is my hair up in a pony tail with two small strands hanging down framing my face. These two strands would be dyed green (preferably a neon green). I only want it in my hair for 1 night (though i could handle, at most 3). Because I have brown/reddish hair, they say I have to lighten my hair to strip it of its brown. But since I only want those two small strands dyed, and for so short of a time, I don’t want those two strands to be a lighter shade than the rest of my hair when it finally comes out. Suggestions?

Well, it turned ashy, green. I heard that red will make the green go away. If i bought a reddish brown, will the green go away?
If not, what other way is there (other than going to a professional)?
