going green
Rocky The Fearless asked:

They have found ways to win without a run games and that is getting better every week plus the have no glaring holes in the Defense. Could the Pack be back?

BulldogBlitz on 9 February, 2009 at 2:26 pm #

they will meet the cowboys in the playoffs and the dream will end there…at this point, it seems that will be the NFC championship game.

Mel on 12 February, 2009 at 4:53 am #

To the playoffs and as far in the playoofs until they have to play New England.

brown1932004 B on 18 February, 2009 at 9:04 am #

Super Bowl but sorry, they lose to the steelers

monkeymadeline on 20 February, 2009 at 3:18 am #

Maybe far..maybe not.
They could like win or like stuff…

Kei on 23 February, 2009 at 12:08 pm #

If they can get the run game going Superbowl but if not NFC championship.

Patsfan on 24 February, 2009 at 1:42 am #

They have no running game. They will lose in the NFC chamionship game.

vikingsron on 24 February, 2009 at 4:09 am #

Not far this week they are getting punished by minnesota.

What did you say Patriots? I can’t hear the Green Bay Packers yet

j p on 27 February, 2009 at 7:16 am #

I think they will make it to the playoffs and win 1 game if they home field advantage and then lose the next. If they don’t have homefield, I think they’ll lose the first game. A great season compared to where they have been.

mpetti1 on 1 March, 2009 at 3:56 pm #

They will lose in the first round of the playoffs. The Favre of the last five years will rear its ugly head as he throws three or four picks by throwing into double and triple coverage.

Anna Banana on 4 March, 2009 at 5:02 pm #

They are back for the year only, sorry bud. I say first maybe second round of the play-offs even…but Brett will be gone next year…and lets face it, he is all you consist of. Rogers will not be able to be even close to adequate in filling those shoes for another 2 seasons likely.

Zinger on 7 March, 2009 at 7:16 pm #

They can back that azz up all the way to Florida. The Pack is back!

Josh G on 9 March, 2009 at 4:21 pm #

They are going to end the season with only 3 losses and are going to make it to the playoffs. If they do lose at all in the playoffs, it will be in the Super Bowl either against the Indianapolis Colts or the New England Patriots, but I do believe that if it does come down to these games that it will be a very close one, since all three teams have some Super Bowl experience.

whitsonboy on 11 March, 2009 at 10:43 am #

I hope so I love Farve. They have some guys that can make big plays just like new england. New England does not have much of a run game either. On top of that they have a great Defensive unit.

Packer Backer on 12 March, 2009 at 3:59 am #

I would like to see them go to the SB one last time for Brett and it all depends on who they play.

Mark J on 15 March, 2009 at 6:13 am #

They’ll be sitting at home stuffing their mouths with cheese while watching Dallas win the Superbowl.

mattapan26 on 16 March, 2009 at 1:30 am #

The Pack has to be a very serious contender to win the NFC and go to the Super Bowl. The Patriots or Colts would probably be a 10+ point favorite as of now.

James K on 18 March, 2009 at 1:43 am #

To at least , at least the NFC championship game. And no they wont play the steelers, they steelers wont even win in the wild card round than I even say beat new England or Indiana, no chance.

milkjilk on 18 March, 2009 at 2:56 am #

They will most definitely go to the superbowl and win!!

Iron Horse on 19 March, 2009 at 9:59 am #

Far enough just to hurt the Packer fans feelings in week 2 of the playoffs.

united9198 on 21 March, 2009 at 8:44 pm #

They are improved but by far the youngest team in the NFL. If Favre stays healthy and they can get their running game going, they will be a big surprise.

A young team does not always continue to improve, so we are no where near being able to make sure footed statements about the Packers.

steener3334 on 23 March, 2009 at 4:26 pm #

With the most underrated defense in the league (top 3-5 in the league), a more conservative Brett Farve that has turned into a field general, the Green Bay Packers will go as far as they can run it. With Ryan Grant starting to emerge as the best back on the team, Green Bay looks like it is bound for the playoffs. But the main factor as to how far once they get into the playoffs is if he receiving groups step up and allow Brett space to throw the ball. If this happens, the Pack can easily get to the Super Bowl.
