Its all about lowering your carbon footprint but unless everyone does it then it makes no difference!

It doesn’t…. but u can say something about theories of global warming and how we should reduce the amount of CO2 we release into the environment and how, even though it might not seem to make a difference (which it does not) it all adds up (in a perfect world)

Well what we do in the cities effects what goes on in the polar regions ,for instance the ice shelves that have never collapsed are now crumbling or gone ,the polar bears who swim out 60 miles looking for icebergs to hunt on have melted and the bears are drowning,or how certain emmissions in the southern regions are causing sterility in the eskimo population.Hope this helps

It doesn’t. It makes a lot of money for a few, and it makes fools out of the rest.

If you wanna get really complicating you could talk about the chaos theory aka butterfly effect. Its proven with calculations that something so little as killing a butterfly where you live could cause a storm far away because of how everything on the planet it linked together. It is stated the chaos theory because after a certain point we have no way of predicting what will happen.

Well, some interesting answers up to now. Going Green means different things to different people. The US Dept. of Energy says that 50% to 60% of the cost of “our” utilities are heating & cooling the home. If someone says to you:”I can save you at least 20% to 40% in your monthly utility costs”, that would mean you would have more money in your pocket right ? So, I understand I now have reduced my monthly debt payments!
Wait a minute…let’s see…I have more money because my furnace & A/C are running less. We are using less electric and less natural gas…I’m more efficient and another way of saying “I’m Green!”. I buy a car that gets good gas mileage (maybe a hybrid), I am saving money in gasoline…I’m being green! I recycle my trash, batteries & old electronics separately. That stops a lot of chemicals from leeching into the ground & making it unhealthy for me, my family and friends…I’m being green again. Hmmmmm, when this happens all over the world (in one form or another) the consumption is less, therefore more is left for the future! If we all look for ways to be more efficient wouldn’t it save us money…and be “green” at the same time? What if you could produce your own energy, collect all the water you need, you would be on the way to becoming more self-sufficient…& green!

Well…. if you go green, you can influence your friends, who can influence their friends, who can influence their friends.
