Because the fossil fuels we burn such as oil and gas hurts the worlds ozone layer, we are cutting down on fossil fuels and trying to use different fuel sources. Up in here in Minnesota we are finding a way to use the oils from algae to use on cars.

You can go green by doing many things. Try biking places instead, plant trees to put more oxygen in the air… use electric ovens.. (yes ovens burn gas too).

Going green can prevent our planet from increasing heat and rising water levels– and the dying out of ice caps and polar bears.

Going green has reduced trash in our environment by about 25%.

We are destroying the planet by overproduction of goods beyond a long-term sustainable rate given current technology.

We are going green to try and reduce pollution lessen production and consumption.

Going green and looking for new green technolgies may find us a long-term sustainable level of production that will support both man and nature in the long run.
