Eagle Scout asked: With better weather approaching, and the outdoors are warming up, plus the presence of a much higher water table than usual, the dormant ants have migrated into my home through the foundation and walls into the kitchen. I have tried pesticidal barriers to block these unwanted visitors, to no avail. Having two toddlers, I want to avoid toxic chemicals and poisons. When my wife was in the picture, she had found that ammonia or vinegar could be used to repel these unwanted guests.
What household liquid that is non-poisonous to children or pets, can be used to repel ants?
Thank you!
